Our Zulu students have arrived in Johannesburg as part of the HU Zulu in South Africa (HUZISA) Study Abroad Program. This year our new instructor Sipho Sithole is leading the program which is a 6-week study abroad program for immersion in both the language and the culture of the Zulu people of South Africa.

The Department of World Languages and Cultures, led by chair, Dr. Leonard Muaka, hosted the World Languages Festival on Feb 14 and Feb 15 in Locke Hall. A variety of cultural activities by students were presented to showcase the different languages and cultures that are taught in the department.
