The Assistant Director of the Center for African Studies, Dr. Phiwokuhle Mnyandu, gave a keynote address at the 16th Beijing Forum on African Development and China-Africa Cooperation held at the prestigious Peking University. This year's program centered heavily on the intersection between the Sustainable Development Goals and the Global Development Initiative, in the lead-up to the 2030 deadline for the latter. Speakers included leading multidisciplinary experts from Asia, Africa, western Europe, and the United States.

The Africa-China Initiative at the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University is pleased to partner with the Center for African Studies at Howard University to offer a one-year ACI Research Fellowship.
