Human Rights Watch

The Human Rights Watch is now soliciting applicants for our upcoming Spring and/or Summer 2018 student internship with the West Africa team, based in the Washington, DC office. 

Brief internship synopsis:

  • Human Rights Watch is an independent, international non-profit organization that investigates, exposes, and advocates on human rights issues worldwide.
  • Internship period: Spring 2018 and/or Summer 2018. Students who can continue an internship through spring and summer are encouraged to apply.
  • Focus: Supporting research and advocacy projects on West Africa human rights issues.
  • Details: Office in Washington DC. At least 10-15 hours per week requested (flexible scheduling).
  • Qualifications: Intermediate or higher proficiency in French (particularly reading and writing), computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, internet research), and relevant Africa coursework or experience required. Must be an undergraduate student (sophomore or above preferred).
